my left testicle is slightly larger than my right, and is incredibly sensitive. barely touching it causes me bad pain. it's been like this for a while?

Sorry you're not feeling well.  As an ER doc, I am concerned about your symptoms.  You deserve an examination by a physician (in person) and an ultrasound.  Additionally a urine analysis can also be helpful.

Testicular pain: A painful testicle can be a symptom of swollen veins inside the scrotum (varicocele).  This can result in one testicle being larger than the next and painful.  A tumor is also possible as is epididymitis.  You should see a urologist and have an examination and possibly an ultrasound of your testicles.

my husband's right testicle is much larger than left. is it ok?

See MD: Your husband should see a urologist to have an exam and scrotal ultrasound to identify if there is an issue with the right or with the left testicle.  It could be atrophy of the left (shrinkage) or an abnormality on the right if the left is normal size.  Either way, see md immediately.

Testicle Anatomy: It sound pretty normal to me.  One testicle is the dominant one and one is the backup in case of injury to the dominant one.  Healthy testicles are almond shaped.

Seek pro-evaluation: Without a look &amp; palpation, it's hard to offer accurate Dx. Clinically, bring the info on the onset, degree, duration, interval, evolution, progress, &amp; resolution of the pain &amp; swelling and their potentially related Sx to urologist for analysis + exam + tests so to ensure NO recurrent testicular torsion with spontaneous detorsion or STD-related urethritis leading to epididymitis or hydrocele...

Need more info: Your symptoms are significant. To give you an accurate answer would be difficult without knowing your medical history and an examination. I urge you to make an appointment with a urologist at a large medical institution as soon as possible. Your local medical society and/or your family physician can help guide you.

See a physician: Swelling or lumps in the testicle can be from various causes. It is not normal and can have serious complications. See your physcian.

See your primary : care physician to find out if you have a hydrocele, excess fluid in the right scrotal sac with or without an inguinal hernia. my left testicle is like x1.5 larger than the other and have curves on the top surface near the penis...hurts a little sometimes..should i worry?

Worry: Any testicular abnormality should be evaluated by a urologist and scrotal ultrasound.
