cross country meet yesterday and a lump started forming on my leg to the bottom right of kneecap. its not an injury. itchy, 2 inch radius,what do i do?

Allergic reaction?: I would put some ice on it, take some benedryl and see how it goes.  If it gets larger or becomes more painful, see your doctor or go to urgent care.

Small itchy bumps: Are they vertically parallel or horizontally. If horizontally consider eczema, bed bugs, poison oak/ivy depending on location .usually consider antihistamines and or steroid creams or oral steroids ,if they get red/tender  may need antibiotics . if vertical also consider scabies and may need elmite as well.

Keratosis pilaris: It could be keratosis pillars which is a benign condition which is caused by blocked follicles.  Follicultis could also cause this.  Please see your doctor as the treatment for each condition is different.

Itchiness: may result from dryness or rash or skin irritation. Use of moisturizing cream, topical steroids or topical antihistamine will help

Extreme: cold leads to constriction/narrowing of the small blood vessels which supply your skin...after this constriction and with the warming they DILATE causing increased flow  a REDNESS and stretching of the nerve endings causing itching!

Family practice : Any new skin lesion should be checked out. What you describe sounds benign. If you see lesion that is growing changing color or multiple colors, or having irregular borders it needs to be seen right away.

Lots of things: It could be bug bite, hives, ringworm, eczema, infected hair follicle...He should be seen by a doctor to get a diagnosis.
