my testosterone blood tests say it is very low. what prescription drugs are the most helpful ?

Low Testosterone: Sometimes Testosterone could be falsely low due to elevated liver function tests.  Testosterone treatment increases risk of heart disease, prostate cancer and risk of venous thrombosis.  Most insurances cover Testosterone injections.  Transdermal Testosterone preparations also work but they are much more expensive.  They all work the same.  See your doctor.

my son has been on orratane for his skin for the past 2 months, only prescribed for 2 months.  he wil need to go for blood tests again and get a prescription.  i have heard about mapp skin 10 which works excellent.  can he use that after orratane?

Depends on aim: If  the aim is to diagnose alcohol use/abuse the tests include, blood alcohol, urine ethyl glucronide, serum alt and ggt, serum levels of carbohydrate deficienct transferrin.  
If you wish to assess the damage from alcohol use, liver function tests to assess liver damage, fasting blood glucose to screen for diabetes due to chronic pancreatitis and testosterone levels to assess testicular atrophy.

if you make a full recovery from hepatitis, normal blood tests and mild fibrosis; is the occasional, sensible drink ok? please advise as i am not an alcoholic.

Hard to say....: The issue here is the "mild" fibrosis. No way for an accurate or safe reply from a distant online forum. My guess is that light alcohol intake might be safe, but your decision shouls be based entirely on advice from your own doctor(s) familiar with your case. If your PCP is uncertain, consult with a liver disease expert. Good luck.

been told in the prescription that my esr value in blood tests will gradually come to it's normal level in 4  2 weeks. confused here, does it mean it could resolve anywhere between 2-6 weeks? what does  mean here?

: That is correct, your ESR is expected to normalize in few weeks, range estimated to 2-6 weeks. Make sure you keep your follow up appointment with your treating doc.

Doubtful: This problem can only be solved by seeing your doctor and being evaluated face-to-face.  After a thorough examination, your doctor should be able to tell you what's wrong and what to do about it.

when supplementing with otc lithium orotate/aspartate, should blood tests still be done regularly to monitor lithium levels, same as prescription lithium types?

It depends: It depends on how much you're using.  Usual doses of Lithium Carbonate for bipolar disorder are in the range of 900 mg - 2400mg/day acutely, and 400 mg-1200mg/day maintenance.  At these levels, serum monitoring is needed to avoid toxicity.  Lithium orotate is given in smaller (10-20 mg/day) doses -- and although much less likely to cause toxicity at that level, it still can in some.

i keep getting tonsillitis, despite x 2 penicillin v prescriptions. aos blood tests "upper range of normal" what treatment would help?

Don't overtreat: Penicillin won't prevent future attacks, and is appropriate only if there's good reason to think this is strep throat. Antistreptolysin O titers are useful only if actual rheumatic fever is a consideration; don't over-interpret these or any other labs especially when they're in reference range or you'll go crazy. Ask about tonsillectomy given that there's variable evidence / thought.

Watch out: Serious hepatic pathology can be present despite normal liver function tests.  Please seek help to stop any alcohol use or exposure to other liver toxins.   Be sure to be screened as well for other processes, infections etc that can cause liver fibrosis.   With minor damage, the liver can regenerate  but careful, untreated alcohol use disorders significantly shorten life spans.

8 months after being hospitalised with severe alcoholic hepatitis, my blood tests have normalised, ct scan back then normal & recent fibrosis scan within normal range. is it safe to drink again just sensibly & moderately on occasions? thanks.

Not a good choice: It sounds like your liver has recovered from a very serious event.  Alcoholic hepatitis severe enough to require hospitalization means that your liver is prone to injury by alcohol (some are more prone than others; you got the short straw).  The statistics on people who have problem drinking being able to safely resume "drink again just sensibly and moderately on occasions" are poor.  Keep it safe
