Nothing worisome: The pruning means the skin has absorbed some of the water which expands it transiently. It suggests some loss of the skin oil that usually blocks it during minor water exposure. It will happen to anyone if they soak their fingers in water for long enough.

Hand Hygiene: There are a multiple ways you can get infection of the  fingertips...Particularly when there are preexisting conditions such as diabetes, raynaud's disease etc..Occupational or job related etc...Hand hygiene is the real key.
