Depends: The time for healing depends on the size of the defect, how much skin was lost.  It will be sensitive for quite a while, often for months, but should eventuall be fullly useful.

Is one a nail Biter ? Does one cut nail too often? Have a job/hobby that keep the fingers soaking wet a lot of the time?  A good way to sort this out is walk into one's PCP office and show the fingers to him/her.

i fell off a bike 3 days ago and my fingers are still very sensitive.  should i go get them x-ray?

Maybe: Your doc will first check to see if there is swelling or bruising. If those are absent and you can fully flex and extend them, it is unlikely  there is a fracture.

Varies: There are a number of possibilities.  If you did not injure your finger but it is swollen and painful, the two most common causes would be some infectious process verses an inflammatory condition.  I would certainly be seen; and an exam would go a long way to determine the cause.

It happens: Occasionally a sensory nerve ending is cut and may display excessive sensitivity as it heals. It would not show a visible defect because the issue is buried within the tissue. At some point it should settle down and return to normal.

i had deep cut to fingertip months ago. it's visibly healed but finger tip still sensitive & hurts if bumped. what's wrong or will it heal eventually?

Explanation : Most likely your cut was too deep and touched nerve. Give a little more time for stable recovery. If you are 117 years old you will have it forever. But this is definitely mistake. Be well.

Sounds like vascular: The symptoms sound classic for raynaoud's syndrome. This is a condition where the arterial (oxygen carrying) vessels spasm and cause color and numbness or pain changes. Any hand surgeon can treat. Often an injection of Botox into the small nerves controlling the local circulation can help greatly. This should be done by one trained in hand surgery though.

Infection: Sounds like you have an infection in the tip of your finger - see your doctor or urgent care for treatment.

Maybe: If all 4 extremities are affected would mean that neurofibromas involve major nerves in them (unlikely but possible) or you have compression on the back part of your upper spinal cord. But also possible is that you have  metabolic issues causing peripheral neuropathy such as diabetes. Obviously you need to see a neurologist.

Could be: This could be a glomus tumor.  See dermatologist or hand surgeon for evaluation.
