You may be anemic with low blood pressure or other cause for your problem.  What do you mean by white spot in your eye?

It is normal....: to need good lighting to see better, the light can help with contrast In what you are reading. It does not damage the eyes to read in dim light, the eyes will get tired faster with dim light.
