Breast "sizing": Breast tissue is responsive to the female hormones estrogen and progesterone. At the end of a menstrual cycle both are hormones are in abundant supply until they drop just prior to a period. Thus, breast size changes normally.

Can retest in 1 week: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate and not affected by foods, herbs, common illnesses, sexually transmitted diseases, or medications. A correctly done urine test gives a reliable result by 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have been) or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a mildly positive result is likely real but a negative result may be from testing too soon.

It is helpful to see your physician for these symptoms.

If not pregnant, you may not have ovulated this cycle, which can lead one to miss their period and have a variety of other symptoms.

A urine pregnancy test gives a reliable result if done correctly. One can test about 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have occurred), or 1 week after missing a period. Urine tests are very accurate.

Itchy Breasts: Itchy breasts are not a symptom that i associate with pregnancy or menstrual cycles.  Could you be wearing something different during this time, such as a different clothing or perfume?  If there is a rash associated with the itch, an in-office evaluation would be best.  If you are concerned you might be pregnant, i would advise getting proper testing and evaluation.

A Few Ideas: Sore breasts are typically sore due to hormonal changes.  Fibrocystic disease can cause soreness as well. Most common to feel sore right before your period, as that's when Progesterone is the highest. As you also mentioned, pregnancy can cause soreness as well. If this is a possibility, you'll want to take a home pregnancy test to be certain. If you feel a lump or mass --&gt; go to dr right away.

It can: Common symptoms of pregnancy are breast tenderness and nausea.
