Confusing post: I would hope a baby can pass stools and some will after every feed. I don't consider that an illness. You are welcome to start over.  Please include a description of stool consistency, babies willingness to feed, weight gain or loss, etc.. This allows a better picture of what you feel is abnormal.

Gum?: It's not uncommon for stools to undergo changes, from mustard, to "pudding" to thick peanut butter. I'm not sure what you mean by "gum", but stools can thicken up somewhat over this time. Sometimes there can be mucous and some temporary changes with viral illnesses or other factors. If the stools are truly irregular, bring one in to have it looked at.

Normal: Blood in stool of nursed babies is normal.  If it is bright red and is accompanied by pain, a meckle's diverticulum should be suspected.

Something she ate: Change in diet can cause changes in the appearance of stools.  In a breastfeeding baby, that is what the mother ate.

my 3 month old sons poop has turned dark brown with white chunks in it. he is formula fed enfamil with baby oatmeal in it. his stools have increased?

Brown is OK!: Baby poop is lots of different colors and can change from day to day for any baby.  One day brown, one day yellow, one green.  The worrisome colors are dark black after the first few days of life (cuz your first poop is blackish meconium), red poop or pure white poop. I suppose purple would be weird too! as his digestive tract matures, consistency will also vary.  And yes, baby poop stinks!

3 month old baby with elevated wbc in stool, but negative for bacteria. waiting to see gi. what could it be? food issues? something chronic?

Need more info: it could be nothing if it's only the concern and no other symptoms.  repeat the test later to see if it's resolved. the most importantly if the child is clinically well, no temp, feeding and passing stool normally and gaining weight. Best!

Likely not a problem: Exclusively breast fed babies can often go 1 to 2 weeks without stooling. As long as the baby is otherwise healthy: nursing normally, wetting diapers, and active then I think you can give the baby a few more days.  Fever or vomiting changes that recommendation; call the doctor.

: Depends on etiologic organism.  Positive  stool occult blood and leukocytes suggest bacterial infection as a cause of diarrhea in febrile infant.  In this clinical scenario, stool sample and blood specimen are submitted for bacterial culture for positive identification.

: The most common reasons for a decrease in milk supply is decreased feeding times. When a breastfeeding mother reduces either the length of time breastfeeding or decreases number of feeding times per day significantly, her body responds by producing less milk. As can starting certain medications, estrogen contraceptives or being pregnant again. Try feeding every 3 hours consistently.

what can i do for my 3 month old he is having hard stools how can i relive them?

See below: If the child is bottle fed mostly, replace one bottle a day with a baby juice like prune, pear, etc.  The increased sugar content in the juice and other components should start to soften the stool.  As a last resort if the child is straining to push out a stool, a piece of a glycerin suppository placed in the rectum can help the stool to slide out.
