Vag D/C: this is not specifically normal, and certainly a 7yo can get some infections in the vaginal area.  Irritation from bathing, and then bacteria in the area can begin such a process as one example.  See the Dr. and have her checked out. Best wishes.

Hello. : Hello. I can't diagnose the reason for your daughter's vaginal discharge.  However, it isn't normal.  She may have vaginitis. It can present with vaginal discharge as well as blood, odor, redness, swelling, burning or itching.  Possible causes include: germs, chemical in soap or bubble bath, a foreign body or sexual abuse.  I recommend that you schedule an appointment with her pediatrician so that the cause can be determined. Take care.

Dr. should evaluate: A discharge is anything coming from the vagina that is more than the scant amount of normal mucous healthy women have. A discharge that has mild or no odor can still be an overgrowth of yeast or bacteria, or a mild infection with undesirable germs (discharges worsen as infections worsen). A teen with discharge can see a dr. Who does pelvic exams, even if a pelvic exam isn't done on the first visit.

If she is not mentally competent to make such a decision, her power of attorney or next of kin should make that decision for her,  based on what she would want if she were thinking clearly.
