: Frequency and foamy urine are not the urinary symptoms of multiple myeloma and renal amyloidosis. Unfortunately, there is no typical urinary symptom of this condition. The presence of heavy protein in urine is one sign (not symptom) but not typical of MM or renal amyloidosis because many other kidney diseases also cause heavy proteinuria. MM and renal amyloidosis always affect both kidneys.

how does multiple myeloma affect the kidney?

Nephropathy: Myeloma produces proteins called light chains which can essentially "clog up" the kidney producing myeloma nephropathy.  Myeloma also produces humoral substances which can damage the kidney.

: There are no specific symptoms  to the kidneys. But it may result in kidney failure and symptoms of that are many and varied- depending on the degree of failure

: There are no typical symptoms to indicate either. Both can affect the kidney function in later stages  and manifest signs of kidney failur

: Both those diseases are mostly chronic and prolonged. It is difficult to diagnose them in early stages

: Likely less than 5 years.
