While both are pain meds, Demerol (meperidine hydrochloride) is a brand of Meperidine while lortab is a brand of hydrocodone/acetaminophen. Meperidine may be taken as a pill, shot or IV while hydrocodone/acetaminophen is by pill only.

Hard to say: It is hard to pin point exactly why you feel this one but not the other, factors may  include different sedative med use , colonoscopist technique may be somewhat different etc...

That : That is a very good question.  All of these medications are "synthetic" opioids.  There is no Codeine in hydrocodone, demerol, (meperidine hydrochloride) or dilaudid.  However, some people who are allergic to one can be allergic to another synthetic opioid.

: Certain compounds in mullein's leaves and flowers are thought to act as demulcents or expectorants. Demulcents are substances that calm irritation or inflammation in the skin or internal parts of the nose, mouth, or throat. Expectorants are agents for stimulating the production or secretion of phlegm especially from the lungs. It will not cure any cancer, but help with cough.

Debrox : Debrox eardrops are used to soften earwax so that the earwax can be removed.  It has no use in treating an itchy ear.  Your symptoms sound more likely to be from irritated skin in the ear canal.  You might consider seeing your physician.  He might place you on cortisone eardrops which will soothe the irritation of the skin and relieve the itching.  Best wishes.

i have pseudotumor cerebri. i've read pomegranate, milk thistle, turmeric, capsaicin all hold carbonic anhydrase inhibitors naturally. is this true?

Use with care: I can confirm that pomegranate and turmeric contain some carbonic anhydrase inhibitor activity.  However, these do not have enough of this to be clinically useful.  It is much more straightforward to take a small dose of diamox (acetazolamide) instead.  Although it does not work for everyone with PTC, it helps many.  The side effects would be the same if the medicine dose was the same.

They aren't: There aren't any natural igf-1 supplements.  Igf-1 is made in your body. It is also available by injection from a physician, not it is really in any supplement you can buy at the store or on the internet.  Even if it were, it wouldn't work and would be broken down in you stomach.

Probably not: Stage 4 breast cancer requires a lot more than just a dietary supplement.  Its very important that she follow her oncologists recommendations.   If she wants to to try a nutritional adjunct, there are total immersion programs for cancer.
