i am extremely tired, loss of appetite, and my body is sore. i feel like i have mucus stuck in my lungs and i also feel soreness in my back... could you shed some light on this for me?

asthma flared with allergies and getting the flu. kept taking my albuterol daily for over a month. noticing mucus stuck deep in lungs that i feel rumble but i can't seem to cough out. would a steroid inhaler help clear this?

Not sure how: You know that exactly, but assume you are coughing and/or wheezing.  If you smoke...Stop, if you have a fever, significant cough or wheezing let your doctor take a look and listen.  There are a number of medications that can be of great assistance.

See doctor : Need to be seen by pulmonologist or primary doctor for exam and testing including chest x ray, sputum culture, etc.   Could be anything from asthma, copd, bronchitis, fungal infection etc.

Nerves: When you eat, particularly if something cold, the parasympathetic nervous system is stimulated and this has the side effect of cuasing mucus glands to be more active. This is a stronger response in some than in others and is a normal response.

Several things...: You can get chest percussion, use medications such as mucomyst, drink a lot of water, use a flutter valve.

No difference: No drugs are very effective to help clear mucus. Assuming the liquid or tablets you are trying have the same active ingredients (e.g. guaifenesin), either one is as good as the other. Use whichever seems to work best for you.
