hi, this morning i was at work and went to the bathroom when i wiped it looked like i had passed a mucus plug... my last period was july 30th to august 2nd  just over 2 weeks ago, so i'm a little concerned of what this may be?

No worries: Passing increased amounts of vaginal mucous is usually not a sign of anything serious.   Given the timing of ~2 weeks after your last period it could be due of ovulation.  If you have other symptoms, such as vaginal itching, burning, or a bad smell then it could be due to a vaginal infection (not STI).  If you have had unprotected sex, you should be tested for sexually transmitted infection (STI).

Get checked: Any cramping at this stage needs to be checked to make sure you are not in labor, or started to dilate.

Sounds like it: It's very possible you are experiencing signs and symptoms of early labor.  Time your contractions and if they are getting more frequent, you should get checked out by your doctor.

Possible labor: At 33 weeks with back pain and cramps, you could be in early labor.  You need to get in as soon as possible and get checked.

Mucus plug? : White formed discharge vaginally is most likely from a yeast (fungal) infection.  Try over the counter Monistat 7 (or similar antifungal medications, and if no relief, see your gyn provider for a culture and alternative treatment.

Yes: The mucus plug is not a very reliable indicator of cervical dilation.  Not every women knows when it comes out.  Its easy to miss.  So it is possible to dilate and efface without seeing the mucus plug.  Best wishes!

No smell expected: The mucus plug is made up of thick cervical mucus that your body forms as soon as you're pregnant. The mucus protects and prevents anything from traveling up the cervix. 72 hours before labor, your cvx begins to change and the mucus loosens and mixes w/ blood from cervical change until it falls out as a "plug." Your cvx will continue to make mucus and you may have more discharge afterwards.
