10 days: After about 10-14 days the majority of pregnancies will show up negative. Even better though, would be an ultrasound to confirm the uterus is empty. Is there anyway you and your wife can get an ultrasound to ensure that the uterus is empty ?

Ideal is 6-8 hours: You can use the misoprostol vaginally, in the cheek (buccally) or orally.  There are fewer adverse affects if you place the tablets vaginally.  Good evidence shows that placing the tablets vaginally 6-8 hours after the mifepristone is as effective as after 24 hours.  So the least side effects and most effective is placing them vaginally after 6-8 hours.  bleeding usually starts after 4-6 hours.

Please see a doctor: Lower abdominal pain during early pregnancy can be a warning sign of ectopic pregnancy. You really need to rule that possibility out before proceeding with the medications you are planning to use. In addition, fever can be a sign of infection, and you need to be evaluated to find out what the fever is coming from (an STD, a bladder infection, etc) so it can be treated appropriately ASAP.

Should be ok: In general, we worry if the vomiting occurs within 30 minutes of taking the mifeprostone and in this case advise to take it again. 3 hours after taking the pill should be long enough to absorb the medication. If she continues to vomit for more than a day after taking the pill, see your doctor.

Chemical abortion ?: Mifepristone is used to terminate early pregnancy, and can be taken after a meal.  Ask your gyn physician about taking "4 pills at once", as your physician knows your health status, and may have specific advice about the amount taken.
