Protect yourself.: Assuming you are generally healthy and have a normal immune system, you can minimize your MRSA risk by following a few simple precautions: wash your hands and other exposed skin surfaces whenever they get dirty. Wear disposable gloves whenever you handle anything dirty (like dirty laundry). Treat any cuts and scrapes promptly, and keep them covered with a bandaid while at work.

I can't tell from: your question whether you are wishing to go to work or not. This is what NIOSH/US agency for occupational health says: Restrict workers with wound drainage that cannot be covered and contained with a clean, dry bandage; Restrict workers with activities where it is likely others may come in contact; food handlers. MRSA: as long you don't have active lesions you should be fine.  If any active lesions you need to treat before going back to work.

Yes: Health care facilities have different pre-employment screening requirements.  Screening for MRSA is one possibility.  Oftentimes the health care facility will require that any employee who screens positive for MRSA  go through a decolonization procedure prior to starting work.

I do not think so: Just because someone has MRSA , you do not acquire unless you are closely associated with that person. It is very unlikely to contract the infection if you take proper precautions such as wearing gloves etc.

No: Mrsa is in the commuity we worry because it is tough to treat with regular antibiotics. Mrsa in wound bed we have healed. So even if  you contracted MRSA in your cut local bactroban (mupirocin) works to remove this.

MRSA is everywhere: Mrsa is a bacteria that is everywhere, not just on infected people.      Mrsa is considered an opportunistic pathogen, which means that if it is at the right place and the wrong time in a susceptible individual, then problems can arise.      Proper hand washing will most likely suffice.

Good hygiene: MRSA is a bacteria (methicillin resistant staph aureus).  It is spread by direct contact, not through the air.  So you, and everyone in the office, and especially your infected colleague, need to practice good hygiene.  Wash hands and have alcohol gel available for everyone.  But it can easily be contained. Do not worry: If your sister washes her hands, after wound care, as she is supposed to do, she is of more risk than any other person. Many people carry Staphylococcus and or MRSA in their nose.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.
