Discuss with Doctor: Discuss results with your ordering physician. The findings you listed does not describe any specific disease. It simply states in other words, that you have early arthritis --although you are young, as we get older our body progressively undergo degenerative changes. Like having wrinkles/gray hair, or wearing of the sole of your shoe. You should discuss your MRI finding & symptoms with your doctor.

The disk: Is showing some mild aging change with loss of internal water. This is not uncommon and in itself is nothing to worry about.

Not much: Each of the tissues in an MRI gives if a characteristic signal, which then makes it a certain appearance on the image.  So the marrow signal was lower than average.  This could be a normal variant, but is sometimes seen in patients with abnormalities of the marrow system which produces our blood cells; thus the recommendation to correlate with a CBC.  I would just mention to your MD.

: On occasion, brain imaging also includes upper cervical pictures which raise potential concerns.  The vast majority are the result of artifacts, but in many cases, best to confirm or dis-confirm any upper neck pathology.  Would discuss with your doctor the necessity of further images.

R/O : R/o means rule out.  Metabolic CNS disease means disease caused by some problem with metabolism such as an endocrine (gland) problem or some sort of vitamin deficiency.  If i understand the question correctly, you are asking this because of an MRI scan that showed some abnormality in the cervical spinal cord and on the report of the scan there was something about "rule out metabolic CNS disease." one possible cause for a metabolic disease that involves the cervical spine and that might be seen on an MRI scan is vitamin B12 deficiency. There is a blood test for b12. Of course, there are many other causes of abnormal signal intensities on MRI scans that are not caused by metabolic causes.

: It is best to wait to worry because MRI changes in bones do not always indicate Cancer.

: The MRI finding have to be correlated with your symptoms, physical signs and other laboratory test results in order to make a differential diagnosis. If your neurologist told you that MRI finding is insignificant, you should trust him (her). In any case, you can always seek for a second opinion. Because of limited info you can give us in this forum it is difficult to give you a correct assessment.
