CT or MRI?: Ct is the superior study to define issues within the ear and temporal bone.  Mri is the superior study to define issues involving soft tissue such as brain.

Tinnitus: Unfortunately there is no cure for tinnitus, but see an ENT specialist who specializes in tinnitus. He can prescribe certain exercises.

i have inter cranial hypertension but on the mri  it shows nothing to explain it but a little pressure on my eyes but when she gave me an antibiotic thinking it was a inner ear infection what should be the plan of action?

? Not chronic: Recurrent acute upper respiratory tract infections don't necessarily reflect on imaging studies in between attacks, unlike chronic conditions, so diagnosis needs revision, good luck

ENT- suggest scoping: CT may not pick up all pathology; I suggest an ENT evaluation and flexible nasopharyngoscopy ( scoping of sinuses). Sinus infections usually takes 2-3 weeks to resolve.

OM symptoms: can be variable.  Some symptoms include fullness, hearing loss, pain, ear drainage, dizziness, and fever.  Treatment of ear infections is individualized, but usually consists of some form of antibiotic.  Secondary medications may include  decongestants, mucolytics, antiinflammatories/steroids and pain medications.
