If aortic enlargement is seen, cta is usually chosen to determine most accurately degree of aortic enlargement, extent of aneurysm, and involvement of aortic branches.

Abdominal MRA: Either the radiologist called your GI doctor and then changed the order, or they are acting inappropriately. Mra stands for “magnetic resonance angiography”. Mra of the abdomen is a quick and accurate noninvasive test to look at the arteries in your abdomen. If there is a risk that your symptoms are due to arterial issues this is the test that should be done.

For: Primary CNS angiitis, an mra may pick up or suggest diagnosis. Not used as standard for gca diagnosis, rather temporal artery biopsy.

The form wants to provide information on objects that could be adversely affected by a strong magnet.
