No: Please read my recommendation to ur other question about tatto and scars. But tattooing a area with scar should not be more painful, unless there is a problem like active inflammatipn or infection. Then you should avoid the area completely. Even keloids are active inflammation areas and they should be avoided.

Tattoo after care: Hi there. 
After a tattoo has been done, there will be a degree of inflammation (which is the body's part in healing the skin). Most of the time the pain will subside without any difficulty. Keep the area clean and apply antibacterial cream. If the redness/pain increases, conditions like skin infection (cellulitis) and secondary complications needs to be excluded by a doctor.

Tattoos : Tattoos are sometimes needed for radiation therapy.  It depends on the part of the body being treated and the type and amount of radiation being given.  If they are necessary the tattoos are only the size of the tip of a ballpoint pen and they look like little freckles.  The tattoos are used to line the patient up with special lights in the treatment room in order to make sure that the patient is in the same position every day for the radiation treatments.  The tattoos do sting for a moment when they done, but most people think it is less painful than an IV or blood draw.  They are generally permanent, but hardly noticeable and could potentially be removed with a laser if they are bothersome.

i just got a henna tattoo at the mall of america, and it is now red, sort of swelling, and is really painful, should i see a doctor for it or will that go away on its own?

Ouch: don&#x27;t know if the pain is related to anger or infection. Have your Dr take a good look at it. If no infection, bruise or muscle strain/spasm and joints check out, consider psychotherapy.
