i am 13 weeks pregnant w/my 4th child & now i get sick at night w/vomiting & stomach aches. never had morning sickness or acid reflux.could this be it?

Yes: it certainly can be "morning sickness" even though input happens at night. There are several things your OB can do to help you.  Give them a call in the morning to see what they can do to help.

Definitly : Heartburn is really common in pregnancy due to the hormone progesterone. Omeprazole daily on an empty stomach is over the counter and very effective.

Or infection: Your symptoms certainly sound more extensive than would be expected from morning sickness alone. Infection or food poisoning are some considerations. Maintaining your hydration will be of the utmost importance, especially while pregnant. Best wishes

See your doctor: You may need a prescription both for medication to help with your nausea (like zofran) and a medication to help with your acid reflux.  Feel better and be sure to stay hydrated!

Impossible to say...: ...Since you haven't given us a lot of specifics (e.g. What do you mean by "this sickness, etc."?), but you sound concerned ; that alone justifies a good examination with appropriate testing.  Get checked for reassurance and/or treatment.

Possibly: Acid reflux can be a possible cause of early morning nausea in children.  Many people with reflux experience worsening symptoms upon lying down and thus have pain/ nausea during the night or upon wakening.  Allergic rhinitis is just another possibility.  The pooling of mucus when lying down can cause a person to feel nauseaus upon awakening.

i currently take pantoprazole daily for acid reflux, is it ok to take this in the evening instead of morning?

: It is fine to take in the evening. In fact, some people need to take it twice a day - morning and evening.

i have off and on pain/discomfort in middle of chest for few days that seems to be somewhat better during morning time. i have chronic acid reflux. could this be related to acid reflux ?

Chest pain: Although it could be reflux, someone of your age needs a cardiac workup to rule out heart problems. This might include an EKG, a treadmill stress test, cardiac enzymes and other appropriate tests. A cardiologist would be most helpful in setting these tests up.

Elevate head of bed: Lying down at night removes the power of gravity to keep things down in your stomach.  If the muscle at the top of your stomach is weak, lying down allows free flow of acid up into the esophagus & even your throat.  Avoid tight, constricting clothing, put the head of your bed up on sturdy 6' blocks, so you lie at an angle with feet down -- and use gravity to keep acid in stomach.  See your dr.!

what can i do if i have extreme acid reflux on a daily basis? i do take 0mez in the morning, but i don't get any relief from it.

Diet modification: reflect on diet and search for list of foods to avoid
Avoid spicy foods, fatty foods, decrease or avoid caffeine
avoid eating 2-3 hours before bed
