About pregnancy test: A urine pregnancy test, done correctly, gives an accurate result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have occurred), or 1 week after missing a period. If done sooner, a positive result is likely real, but a negative result may be due to testing too soon, and thus lead to a repeat test. If worried, one can repeat a test after another week.

Pregnant?: the lubrication fluid does contain sperm.  The test could either be a false positive or the particular test may not be sensitive enough to pick up 4 days before the missed period.  if the period is late you may retest or get a serum test.

Anovulation: It sounds as if you've experienced an anovulatory cycle. These are cycles in which the ovary failes to release the egg.  This disrupts normal hormonal levels.

Home pregnancy tests: Home pregnancy tests, even office versions, are only accurate once you've missed your period. So if you're only 7d late now, and you tested 2-3wks ago, then you had a false negative. In order for home pregnancy test to be accurate, you have to wait until you've missed your period (like now). On the other hand, if you had 2nd DepoProvera shot on schedule, it's unlikely that you're pregnant.

Hormonal changes: or fluctuations in your  female hormone level can cause mid-cycle breakthrough bleeding. Also, stress, infection, anxiety, thyroid issues and unprotected intercourse can be issues that affect your cycle. Keep and menstrual diary and consult your gyn.

Re do hpt: It would be prudent to repeat the pregnancy test. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully.
If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD. 
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.

Pregnancy is the common cause of a missed period, if sexually active.
