May help: Although that is a relatively low dose, it may help acne via the anti-inflammatory property of tetracyclines. You may need a topical cleanser and topical treatment of the acne also in order to get the best results. In addition, the dose can be adjusted if needed for better control. Use appropriate sun precautions while on minocycline. See a dermatologist to manage this issue.

Takes more time: This treatment can take weeks or even a few months to take effect. You may also need a gel to treat your skin directly. It is called metrogel.

Probably no.: The P. acnes bacterias has probably become resistant. 3 years is a very long time to be taking Minocycline. It has too many side effects, with long term treatment may cause autoimmune reactions (systemic lupus erythematosus, autoimmune hepatitis). Other alternatives are topical antibiotics like Epiduo, Benzaclin, (clindamycin and benzoyl peroxide) etc, laser treatments can be very effective.

Spironolactone: Acne in adult women is a hormone effect. Usually the hormones are normal (do you have normal menses?). It can be worse in response to progesterones used for birth control. It can be part of PCOS. Only about 10% of such women respond to antibiotics such as minocycline. : That's not how it works. The tetracyclines (doxycycline, minocycline, and a couple more) never are reliable by themselves against M. genitalium. Sometimes they work, but 7 days is enough; effectiveness does not improve with longer treatments. However, these drugs can be used for a week BEFORE then taking a week of moxifloxacin. It's a confusing issue. Best to see an expert, like an NHS GUM clinic.

between mon & tues i took 3 allegra (fexofenadine) pills for a cold. today wed, i'm feeling weird in my head. i also am on minocycline.  should i be concerned?

No: Good that you ask when on multiple medications. Although what do you mean by "weired"? What kind of allegra, (fexofenadine) and what dosage? We don't know and also how much minocycline you're on and for how long? we don't know, but either of them can cause drowsiness as a side effect, although they don't interact.
