Mild gynecomastia: This could be due to isolated increase in size of the areola or to a mild condition of gynecomastia. Other than csmouflaging with a nipple shield, i would suggest evaluation to determine the cause and possible treatment options which include isolated nipple reduction or gynecomastia repair.

hi, i have mds with single lineage dysplasia. (mds-sdl). can this be treated with inqovi tablets rather than asacitidine infusions. thank you mike oakley?

: Both medications are approved by FDA for MDS treatment so I think it can be interchangeable if insurance covers the oral formulary. You should address this question to your oncologist. Good luck!

hi doctor..my b/p is low in the mornings (125/80)but high(155/90) in evening.im on canesartan 24mg. i wonder if i should just average it out over 24 hours and not worry about the evening peaks. many thanks..mike?

: No, blood pressure should be in the acceptable range through out 24 hours and you should not average 2 numbers AM and PM. If that blood pressure pattern persists almost everyday then you medication needs to be adjusted, just to make sure blood pressure remains below 135/80 most of the time. Good luck.

i am a diabetic, type 2. i loved chocolate, the fruity candy like mike & ikes, cakes, soda, esp. mountain dew. can i not have any of those?

OH my gosh!!: I love  the flavor of  those things too!!!  But, if you want to control your diabetes Mellitus - I would really encourage you to avoid them.  I know it is hard. However, if you stop eating them - often the cravings die down. Take care.

i had 12 oz can of mikes hard lemonade(8%) on a monday, tuesday took urine test @ 9pm at night, in your opinion, will this come back positive ? 230lbs, spent 1.5 hours in gym that monday,  20min on stairs, next day the same gym regimen?

Drowsy on celexa: Yes, it can. If it does, take your daily dose at bedtime. It can be a useful side effect for insomnia.

Feeling Good: There are several types of depression.  Reactive depression occurs as a result of loss and eventually we adjust.  If one does not adjust or if the cause is not clear certainly seek professional help.  "feeling good" by david burns is an excellent self-help book based on science.  Don't let the thickness of it intimidate you.  Take it bit by bit.  The very best to you. Don't rely on medication only

Maybe OK, but why?!: The maximum dose of Acetaminophen that is safe for long term use is around 3, 000 to 4, 000 mg a day provided that your liver is healthy.  If you are having pain due to running, it might be wise to switch to lower impact exercise such as walking or swimming.

what happens if your breastfeeding and bottle feeding and drink one bottle of mikes lemonade something like a sminoff can i pump the next day?

Yes: There is essentially never a need to "pump and dump".  Your "milk alcohol level" is essentially the same as your blood alcohol level.  So within 1-2 hours after 1 drink, the alcohol is gone from your milk.  The amount of alcohol that gets into the milk is very small, and should not affect a baby under normal circumstances.  So the occasional drink is fine.

hi doctor i have wheezing and coughing every winter.no phlegm.xray ok.spirometer ok.yet one doctor says asthma another doctor says bronchitis.im at a loss to figure out what i have .any ideas? thanks mike?
