The role: of homocysteine a NATURALLY OCCURRING substance in disease of various kinds (with the exception of a RARE genetic condition) is unclear and as far as I am aware (including some recent on line investigation in response to your question) there is n connection with MIGRAINE phenomena. Q: are you for or against using propranolol long term for migraine aura without headache? is there evidence of long term negative affects of propranolol?

For: It's prescribed all the time for this purpose, level A evidence. But might not be my first choice for someone with asthma.

Q: if your male and you get a few migraine auras a mth with no headache do you need to take aspirin continuosly if tolerated?

Caution: Based upon your information, I believe your aspirin is due to your prior cardiac condition, not migraine. Agree with migraine prevention, and you might add Butterbur, Feverfew, CoQ-10, riboflavin, or magnesium in addition.

Unlikely Migraine: There are too many other causes of numbness and tingling in the hands to make a diagnosis of migraines.  Numbness and tingling is not a good sensation and if repeats and becomes more constant should be worked up.  Very brief and rare, or happening only once should be monitored.  Some causes of numbness in the hands are:  Carpal Tunnel, Ulnar neuropathy, cervical spine, diabetes, vascular, drugs...
