AVerySensitiveArea: That's a very sensitive area.Lots of stuff packed into a small space. Any lesion down there has profound effects. Also, it's the most basic area for being awake. So it really depends on the cause of the stroke.If the result is just swelling,then it may go away &amp; there will be some improvement.But if due to a lot of bleeding or a mass(like cancer)then the future is a lot dimmer. So ask for details.

Unlikely.: All brain tumors have the potential to turn aggressive. Most surgeons will watch tumors such as yours by taking a picture once a year to make sure it is not changing or growing. Speak to your surgeon if you are concerned.

Need whole picture: It is difficult to answer your question with this isolated finding.  Would have to know the patients entire history and have all data that is available.  The information you have could suggest a lesion/ mass in that area of the brain.  Please review the total MRI findings with the physician who ordered the study or the doc who knows your father's case best.

: Yes, this condition can cause paraplegia (lower extremity paralysis) or quadriplegia (paralysis of all extremities) with negative lumbar spine MRI.

: While early MS patients may have a normal brain MRI, often the spinal.MRI would show abnormalities. I doubt 5 years of true MS symptoms would go by without positive MRI findings though. A neurologist would be best to answer your question, however.

: Your question is not clearly stated. Glioma is one type of tumor of the brain, not bone. What do you mean by extra-axial lesions? It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional information and physical examination and may be some tests.

No: To entertain surgical intervention for presumed asymptomatic disc disease is foolish. Disc surgery caries a thirty percent chance of worsening condition. If intractable pain or muscle weakness then time to consider. Not before.
