Upper back pain: Pain in that region, if it's not from a recent strain or injury, is often due to nerve impingement from a bulging intervertebral disc or an arthritic spur pressing on a nerve root exiting from a vertebra. If shingles is the cause, a rash appears after several days. If symptoms persist, consult your physician or a neurologist. Appropriate imaging studies,xray or mri, will be ordered.

31yr female.sharp pain on only one point of spine slightly towards left in mid back. pain only when pressed. should i worry?

Depends: Can you think of any trauma to the area, like leaning against a hard chair or bra strap, or a fall?  Do you have any fever?  Has it been there more than a week or so?  Is it worsening?  Do you have any shooting pain or weakness?  The answer to these questions will help decide what the next step in diagnosis should be, or if it is ok to just wait and see if it resolves.

Back pain: Many things can cause pain in this area.  Pain with breathing as you describe could be pleurisy.  Other things in the area of the lung could also do this such as pneumonia.  Would recommend evaluation for this.  Physical exam and an x-ray can normally sort it out.

Spine or muscle : Sprained muscles can "catch". Spinal motion segments can catch for several reasons. Either muscular or spinal column pains can be "sharp". When in doubt, check it out.

my 12 year old son is having lower abdominal pain on the right and left side as well as low-mid back pain. what could be the problem? he is in pain, no fever, he has had regular bowel movements.

These : These symptoms could be a sign of a urinary tract or kidney infection. Appendicitis is also a concern but less likely. Regardless, he needs to be evaluated by his pediatrician right away. A simple urine test will be the first step, followed by an additional diagnostic testing that the doctor feels is necessary.

No: The st common tumor of the pancreas arises in the head and is associated with painless jaundice.  Body lesions which can cause back pain have anorexia and wt. loss.  When there is back pain and loose stools think of steatorrhea where fat is not absorbed due to severe pancreatitis and not a malignancy

More info: There are many things that can give you those symptoms. When do you get pain? What type? How long does it last? Anything make it better? Anything make it worse? Does food affect the pain? Have you had any surgery ? How long has it been there? Have you tried any medications? Did they work? Did you injure yourself? Pulled muscle etc? Has anyone done any studies? Worse with stress?
