Boils: Warm compresses. Cleanse and wash face twice daily in area, try antibiotic ointment or benzoyl peroxide containing products OTC, if no improvement, see your doctor for oral antibiotics or prescription creams/ointments.

i have reoccurring boils in groin area and folliculitis in scalp for a long time. could there be a common ground causing these two sort of similar skin problems?

: These are common in people who have a nest of invasive staph germs living constantly in the nasal membranes. These eventually spread to fingers that touch the face/nose and will travel to any site those fingers touch. Resolution often requires a complicated combination of oral meds/special bathing and application of antibiotic ointment to the nasal entrance.

i have prediabetes and a few skin problems going on. i have been exercising to lose weight and developed a fungus and was given nystatin.i also have a boil from the friction of trying to jog. is it safe to get my covid booster with these issues ?

See doctor: I appears that you have a infection (likely staph) which needs to be treated by a doctor. If you don't have one, go to the ER before this spreads further. Perhaps you can get some help on your meth addiction as well even though I don't believe these two events are related (unless you have been injecting the material).

Indirectly: Amphetamines cause sleep deprivation which lowers the immune response, and induce obsessive activities such as picking at one's skin which breaks the skin barrier. They also cause people to make bad decisions in other ways as well, such as neglecting hygiene, poor diet, high-risk behaviors, etc.

i have sever symptoms, the same as ms or something like it including, seizures, skin problems, infections, and serious brain problems, body pain, unstable. my body hurts, and my personality has changed drastically. i have lost 4 babies too. help??

: Your description is inconsistent with MS, but would certainly wonder about other diagnoses.  Rheumatological conditions, arteritic and vasculitic disorders could be considered, and with the miscarriages, could you have antiphospholipid antibody syndrome?  Suggest you seek a second opinion, perhaps a rheumatologist.

can any medications cause boils? is it possible for any medications such as minocycline to cause skin conditions like boils?

Poss, but unlikely: Anything is possible, but Minocycline is an antibiotic with a high affinity for skin structures and is usually used to treat conditions like boils.  If you were allergic to Minocycline than you could possibly get an allergic reaction including a skin eruption, that could look like or turn into a "boli."  see a dr. If you have boils that will not go away. Good luck.

i take vyvanse, (lisdexamfetamine) and have ocd. have a serious skin picking problem. meth can cause that symptom. can amphetamines cause skin picking too?

Unfortunately, no herbal treatments are fda-approved or tested, so i simply remind people, "let the buyer beware." i recommend hypoallergenic lotions as the best initial therapy. Dry skin is a huge cause of many skin problems.
