No  spread by spill: Tumor cells spread when the lesion has the potential to spread and not via spill.  When lesions of uterus curetted and are found circulating , these cells don't take.  If lesion in hip bone, this tumor has spread from primary site and more likely has also spread to other sites prior to surgery. Food drugs available to  control metastasis.

Typically surgery: Kidney cancer is primarily treated with surgery if the cancer is confined to the kidney.  Depending on the size/location of the tumor, partial removal (called partial nephrectomy) of just the tumor portion of the kidney is recommended.  The majority is treated minimally invasive techniques including laparoscopic/robotic-assisted surgery.  Cancer spread from kidney may be treated with chemotherapy.

Medical imaging: Most kidney tumors  today are found  early  by imaging  i.e.  Ultrasounds or ct  scans done  for other  reasons. Many other are diagnosed becoause of blood in the urine_ hematuria.Larger tumors  may cause pain or fever.

4 stages: There are 4 stages of kidney cancer. The first 2 stages are cancer limited to the kidney based on size. The 3rd stage is cancer that is starting to spread outside the lining of the kidney (gerota's fascia). The 4th stage is when the cancer is invading nearby contiguous organs.

See a urolgist: You should have your brother get further evaluated by a urologist and/or an oncologist to determine the best course of treatment. Early cancers can be removed surgically. More advanced cancers can be treated with medications. Some types of kidney cancer are very slow growing and may be tracked by ct scans rather than be treated.

Often none: A long time ago, kidney cancer was often diagnosed by flank pain, abdominal fullness, and blood in the urine. However, people rarely had all 3 symptoms. Nowadays, most people are diagnosed incidentally, when they are getting a ct scan for something else.
