What's in your diet: If you wear partial dentures this could be a cause.Certain foods especially canned foods could leave a metallic taste or some medications.See a gastroenterologist.

: Cheese is a very concentrated milk product and can cause those symptoms despite lactase pills. By all means speak to your PCP. Hope you do well

Skin/taste: May be associated or not associated.  Many different causes of itchy skin, many different causes of metallic taste.  You need two examinations.  See your Dentist or an Oral Surgeon.  See your Family Physician or a Dermatologist.  See both...now.

Examination: See your Dentist.  There may be an infection with bleeding causing the metallic taste, or it can be from Meds, diet change, etc.  What exactly do you mean by "vibrating" tongue?  White spot on tonsil &amp; vibrating tongue has to be examined by ENT.  Your Dentist should evaluate you for infection and to evaluate tongue integrity and function.  Go get examined.

More history: Usually "dysgeusia" with an odd metallic taste is from taking medications (even calcium carbonate) or "just happens" & is never explained.  I trust you are otherwise well & do not have occupational exposure to lead, mercury, or cadmium.  Try running floss across your tongue, and using plastic utensils.

Most often: A side effect of many medications.  It is not a serious condition and is quite common.  If it persists beyond a few weeks, consult with your physician or dentist.  Make sure you are maintaining good oral hygiene.

Metallic taste: Many times this taste is a result of gingival bleeding. If your gums are red, swollen and /or bleeding, this would explain the taste. As was mentioned, medications can aslo alter taste. In other cases, problems with the middle ear can cause a tast alteration often presenting as a metallic taste.
