No you are NOT: Sleep consists of multiple stages &amp; cycles. A typical sleep cycle starts with transition from wake to stage N1, then stage N2, stage N3 &amp; then REM. Stage 1 is the lightest stage &amp; anyone awaken from it do not perceive that they were actually asleep. You feel hallucinations when you wake up from stage N1. It is normal. But for obese person it could be an early sign of obstructive sleep apnea.

so i go through periods where i want and try, to lose weight. eventually i get to a point of noticable gains, feel really good about my progress, but then i feel guilty because i blame myself for letting global body image standards impact my view of myself.

i'm right around 250-255lbs, and i'd love to get down to the 200 i was in college. but i don't want to admit that my body is somehow lacking if i don't get down to that weight.

so i don't know how to handle it.

Weight mental health: You also need to consider non-mental health effects of weighing too much. One of the best ways to live a long time is to have a BMI &lt;25.  Go to one of the heart attack risk calculators and enter your info and then do it again to see if losing wt is worth it to you for living longer.  There are no calculators that enable one to enter body image anxiety as risk factor.  Discuss with your health team

how do you take care or respond to an old person who appears to have or developing mental illness, when they are seeing things and saying strange stuff at night? the person has several chronic diseases!
