Possibly but why?: If you are menstrurting you are obviously not pregnant and why do the test? You may do the test any time, but to what end.

Pregnancy Test: Over the counter pregnancy tests have become quite sensitive.  You can do one 4 days before your expected period.  However, if it is negative and you miss your period, you should do another one.

Contraception: Only Levonorgestrel 0.75mg taken within 24 hours of the unprotected sexual act will prevent pregnancy by either preventing ovulation or preventing the implantation of the fertilized egg. Taking gynaecosid (estrogen) may counteract the effect.

Right now : Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. The biggest problem with them is testing too soon after your expected period. If you are pregnant, you should be able to test for it now. You can also get a blood test done by your doctor that is more accurate.

Pregnancy unlikely: A girl cannot get her regular period and be pregnant at the same time. However, she can get pregnant a week or two after her regular period. If she has some spotting or light bleeding that doesn't look like her normal regular period, she can check a urine pregnancy test about 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have happened) to see if she is pregnant.
