Pregnancy test: If your period is late, and if you are sexually active, then you should consider the possibility of pregnancy. If a home pregnancy test is negative, then see your doctor if the dischage does not improve.

Sexually active? If : Yes would take a pregnancy test. When pregnant vaginal discharge is thin, white ; milky. But because this is not a diagnostic symptom, a pregnancy test should be taken if you miss your period.

Time and technique: For home pregnancy test, it is best wait 4-5 days after a missed period to do the test. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions in the kit carefully. Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is one reason. See this site for more info.

Possibly pregnant: Do a pregnancy test to find out if you are pregnant. If you are having unprotected sex and your period is late, pregnancy is always the first consideration.

: What you described does not suggest menopause. If you miss your period by 4-5 days, do a home pregnancy test. If the result is negative repeat the test 4-5 days later unless you get a period by then. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions carefully. Wish you good health!

Doubtful: Many things can cause a white discharge and pregnancy is not the first to come to mind. If you are having itching, burning, or an odor, an infection is much more likely. Irritants and foreign bodies can cause a discharge ( nuva ring and diaphragms frequently do as do some lubricants). It could well just be normal secretions. If your period is late do a pregnancy test. Good luck.

i was due the depo on dec 25/2015 didnt take it sill no period and its march 1/2016 now im having booger like discharge no smell is this a sign of bfp?

The best way to: determine if you're pregnant (assuming that's what you mean by bfp) is to do a home pregnancy test.  It can take up to 6 months for periods to resume after the last Depo shot. The discharge could be related to hormone changes that occur as your normal cycles resume or, if it's itchy,  it could be a yeast infection.  If you aren't sure what's going on, see your Gyno again. Probably: By definition, menopause is no period for a year and there is no specific test that can make that diagnosis, though tests may be suggestive. See how this goes but it is most likely that the ovaries are not quite done and it is a period.

im going through the menopause and have a smelly discharge and period pains but havnt had my period yet.. is this normal?

Doctor can evaluate: A woman should not consider a "smelly discharge" from her vagina as normal. She can see her primary care or ob-gyn doctor for an evaluation, to find out why there is such a discharge, making sure there is not an infection, and completing the pap smear and usual preventive screening.
