Not uncommon: In general it's in the range of up to 10% having some form of memory loss or other neurologic issues from slowed movement, abnormal vision, confusion, speech issues.  They can be quite variable in severity but but tends towards the more mild forms and for the most part is reversible upon stopping the medication.

Bioavailability Etc: Assuming that is the cause of brain fog, once you stop completely (but continue your taper under medical instructions), the medication should be out of your system completely, and receptors should be normalizing (including any and all downstream up and down regulation) within a month with some variability based upon health.

Beta blockers: The beta-adrenergic blockers are the most commonly used prophylactic migraine medications. Inderal, (propranolol) Corgard, Tenormin, just to name a few. They have longer half-life and more favorable side-effect profile. Take care.

Weekly migraine: Most people would not take a medicine every day to prevent a migraine that occurs once per week.  Unless that migraine lasts several days.

Substitutes for topamax (topiramate) could be propranolol, magnesium, or valproate perhaps.  Normally wellbutrin and propranolol are not used together, in case the mood worsens.

Why are you using trileptal?  Your side effects may occur due to medicine interactions.

Yes it is safe: Topamax (topiramate) can cause fatigue early stage of taking it and may go away after few days, same goes for memory problems.If the side effects persist, you should discuss with your doctor and he/she may change your med or reduce the dose.It does not cause permanent problems with long term use.
