: It is very likely nothing will happen. THe acid in the stomach will kill any organisms that might have even on the pill. Good luck to you!

i had to wear underwear that accidentally fell on the floor. should i worry about infecting myself this way?

Thou shalt not: No worries. Probably everybody continues to wear underwear that accidentally fell on the floor. Maybe if the floor is really dirty, as in visibly dirty, and a person had spare underwear... she could go with the spare. That's what spares are for, right? As they say, "Don't sweat the small stuff."

Marijuana: It is likely that a urine drug test will still be positive, depending on your body habitus and how often you have smoked marijuana in the past. If you are obese and/or a chronic, heavy user, a drug test will stay positive for several weeks-months.

Go to ER: You should take him to the nearest er to ave him examined. He may or may not need further evaluation based on the initial assessment, but you should have him assessed.

To some extent: It will really help clean off at least the "macroscopic" debris like lint/dirt.  If it came in contact with any significant microbes/bacteria, you'll probably only clean off a some of the burden.

IF I: replaced every dish/utensil I had dropped  on the floor I would be better off buying the dish company.....Washing in HOT water and detergent should certainly be sufficient but if you are worried for some reason I do  not see...use BOILING water....

Hard to guess but: DISTANCE matters. Babies are not super fragile, which is one reason why we human haven't gone extinct yet. Regarding future head bonks (there shall be many), if a child is acting quite differently even after a mild bump, one should contact his doctor. Head bonks with a short-DISTANCE low-impact on the head, little crying, and no unusual behavior after the first hour, usually don't cause problems.

as a kid i was sleepwalking and fell downstairs to a concrete floor. i did not wake up at the bottom. why would such a fall not wake me?

Concussion: I'll bet it's because you hit your head. Hope the sleepwalking and other parasomnias are over; if not, barricade the stair tops at night.

He'll be fine: One year olds fall - and they fall often. It's good thing they are short so it's a shorter distance to the floor!. If there was no loss of consciousness, he is acting normal, no recurrent vomiting - he is totally ok. This may be his first significant fall, but I guarantee you it will not be his last! Show your concern but don't overdue it - he needs to know you are there for him, but don't smother
