: Parkinson's disease is not curable, but can be controlled with medication. The most common is Carbidopa-levodopa, orally, inhaled, or infused. Also MAO B inhibitors, and other numerous medications are available. Your doctor will prescribe what is best, but these medications won't cure you, only help you to function as best as possible.

For other associated symptoms: Exelon (rivastigmine) memory, ssri/tcad anxiety and drooling,  MiraLAX / colace for constipation, etc.

If despite all these, symptom relief/qol is poor, dbs of stn or gpi ate favored & are very effective @ reducing inconsistent medication effect (.

Parkinson's disease : Patients with Parkinson's disease may not need medication if the symptoms are mild. Diet and rehabilitation exercises can help. Parkinson's disease is characterized by a progressive loss of Dopamine producing nerve cells in the substantia nigra located in the midbrain. Eventually, as more nerve cells are lost, then medications such as Dopamine agonists will be required to reduce the symptoms.
