Dry mouth?: If your nose is congested &amp; you breath through your mouth, it can cause dryness of mucus mabrane of the mouth  leading to pain &amp; burning,  keep your mouth  moist with frequent sips of water, use saline nasal spray or gel to clear your nose especially  at night. 7-10 days?: It depends on several factors. Are you still using the nystatin? Are you using a steroid inhaler? Are you done with the antibiotic? If you are not using a steroid and you are done with the antibiotic then you should get better quicker.

There : There are other issues that can cause this.  There is a thought that some vitamin and mineral deficiencies can cause mouth pain.  There is actually a condition called "burning mouth syndrome" that can cause these symptoms.  Be sure you are eating a healthy diet with and consider a vitamin supplement, but as this has been persistent it would be reasonable to have blood work and further medical evaluation.

Possibly Candida: It is not uncommon to develop an oral yeast infection after a bout of antibiotics.  To be sure that is what is(& not something else) and for treatment you should see the doctor who gave you the antibiotics, an oral surgeon, or dds to evaluate properly.

Will heal soon.: Mouth and inside is rich in blood supply and nerve sly. Though the burn may be very painful , if it is not a deep ulcer will heal fast. But if doesn't heal within a week to a reasonable level see your doctor to r/o any secondary infection of the burn wound. Taking a multivitamin may enhance healing fast for a wk-10 days course.Make sure to avoid meds. Getting into mouth and eyes when applied to fac.

Rinse saline: Take 1/2 tsp of salt to 1 cup water, warm and rinse 3-5 times daily to neutralize the burn and encourage healing .  You can go to the drug store and get some orajel with benzocain and that will numb the area for a short time to give you some relief.

Mucositis: Redness with pain in the mouth indicates inflammation of the mucous membrane. It could be from several causes.
May be infection or inflammation from connective tissue diseases. With your symptom alone hard to get a diagnosis. Need more information, underlying conditions, medicines you are on.
