Better off w/o "D": It's not the interaction. Decongestants elevate blood pressure; that's the problem. If itching, sneezing, runny nose, just use antihistamine +/- a steroid nose spray; you don't need "D". Clogged up? Pseudoephredrine is worse than phenylephrine, and 12 or 24 hr preps are worse than little 30 mg red tabs. Check with your internist/cards; they may OK just a little bit here and there.

i just started losartan a few days ago. i feel fine. i noticed as small , red, raised and itchy spot on my knuckle. looks like a rash. right hand on knuckle. could this be an allergy to the losartan ?

: If you are truly allergic to losartan more rashes will develop or generalized itching then you should stop losartan and notify your physician.  for now, you can continue losartan and just observe. Good luck.

switched from lisinopril to losartan about a month ago. still have intermittent dry cough starts as throat tickle. is this lisinopril residual or does losartan cause a cough as well? unless allergies. several covid rapid tests negative so not sick?

: If the dry cough and tickle throat have improved but not resolved completely, you should wait continue with Losartan. Sometimes, it takes months for those symptoms go away. If you do not feel any improvement, Losartan should be changed to a different category, not ACEi or ARB drug. Rarely but some patients still have those symptoms with Losartan, an ARB drug.

does losartan treat edema??? i developed swelling in legs/feet--dr suspected my bp medication (amlodipine) & told me to stop taking. she initially prescribed hcz for the swelling but, because i reminded her i have sulfa allergy, replaced w/ losartan?

: Losartan is a blood pressure medication in the ARB class. It is not generally used to treat edema, but it also doesn’t cause edema the way amlodipine can. HCTZ is a diuretic and is sometimes used to treat edema, but good catch about the sulfa allergy!  There are other diuretics that do not have a sulfa molecule and might be useful along with the losartan.

Coozar: Used for treating high blood pressure &amp; kidney complications from Diabetes. It is not detected in UDS testing.
