Wrong drug: Dexamethasone is simply not a drug we use to treat concussion.  It must have been prescribed for something else. However, a short course of it should not be too risky even though it can have side effects.

Neurontin (gabapentin): a relatively new anticonvulsant compared to carbamazapine and phenytoin, differs from most other anticonvulsants because it has minimal drug interaction potential and is not metabolized in humans.
