Normal AFI:  above 5 cm and below 24 cm -  AFI of 5.1 to 8 cm has been termed borderline, but the clinical implications are unclear, and no strong evidence exists to support additional antenatal assessment of these pregnancies. We manage pregnancies with an AFI of 5.1 to 8 cm the same way as an AFI above 8 cm, without additional testing or hydration. Gestational age is not considered.

May not need any: You should be under the care of an obstetrician for care of pregnancy. You probably had a viral infection and it is going through the process of healing. You may not need to take any medication. Steam inhalation may help with the symptoms.

Allergic &amp; pregnant: The less medication used in pregnancy, the better, most people agree. However, late in pregnancy, category B antihistamines like Benadryl (diphenhydramine) and Zyrtec are generally safe for mother and baby. Nasalcrom spray is especially safe, as long as one is not allergic to it, which is RARE, but it is not very strong. Nasal steroid sprays Nasacort/Flonase are usually fine, because not much is used--all these OTC
