: If the pimples are gone,the leftover marks are red because there was inflammation &amp; the tissue takes between 6mo-1 year to heal completely.For pimples&amp; later To minimize the risk of scars, apply Adapalene 0.1% cream or gel every night and Cetaphil moisturizer in the morning.On top apply a Physical sunblock with Zinc Oxide. If it is itchy or too red, use hydrocortisone 1% cream once/day as needed.
