Testicular Growth: This very well could just be your maturation process and the dominant testicle is working hard to keep up with the production of sperm for your semen.  Masturbation is a very normal and common human activity. Most men masturbate and many masturbate as frequently as you do.

But, you are closing in on the age when testicular cancer raises it's ugly head. If things appear abnormal please ask help.

One should maybe cut back if he often thinks of doing it less, if he starts feeling guilty about it, if it interferes with daily activities such as school or work, if it causes testicular swelling or pain, etc...  A doctor can examine to be sure the testis is ok.

Varicocoele surgery : Removal of a varicocoele will cause irritation of surrounding smooth muscle (cremaster muscle in particular) for several weeks after the surgery.  If your scrotum is sore, inflamed or swollen, see the surgeon who performed the surgery. The discomfort should go away soon (in another week or two) .
