had myomectomy 5 months ago. whenever i masturbate i have brown blood that doesn't stop until i do a yoni steam. i went to the dr when this happened and they used a swab and said i was fine. however it has happened again. why do you think this is?

: If you are using a gadget  inside the vagina you might be irritating the area. Stop that for about 10 days. If it recurs then you need to see your surgeon for a good internal exam. Good luck

Call surgeon: It would be important to be evaluated to make sure no wound infection is developing.  It is not unusual to have intermittent discomfort.  Look for fever nausea vomiting and constipation as more concerning symptoms.   If pain severe then go to er if you can't be seen right away by surgeon or pcp.

Probably not: Orgasm involves contraction of the uterine muscle which is still healing after a myomectomy this soon after surgery. Damage to the suture line usually would involve much more bleeding but depends upon the depth of the myoma. See your doctor, be honest, and let them evaluate.

: The pain and bleeding post myomectomy with masturbation and presumably orgasm  is probably a function of the uterine musculature and surgical sites that haven't completely healed. Masturbation increases blood flow to the uterus and orgasm causes uterine contractions(pain in this case) and bleeding. See your surgeon if this continues past 3 months for assessment and examination.
