If your period is delayed it may simply mean that progesterone and oestrogen levels are altered. This would cause nipple and breast tenderness and discomfort. It may also result in mood changes and cramps. One other explanation could possibly be pregnancy. Have you done a pregnancy test yet?

If this is just excess fatty tissue, of course diet and exercise will help.  Liposuction can be done for fatty tissue unresponsive to diet.  Would recommend you see an experienced plastic surgeon for that.
