Neither: Acrochordons are a fancy name for skin tags, which are benign (not cancerous) growths that tend to occur as we age.  They can often be found on the neck, armpits, and groin-- pretty much anywhere where the skin tends to rub.  No one knows what causes them, but they are definitely not dangerous.  Many things can look like skin tags though, so best to see your dermatologist to check them out.

A must: The philosophy for malignant tumors is that if you leave them alone they 'Grow on You'.  The procedure to be employed is not radical resection but adequate removal.  If adequate is not performed the procedure is inadequate.  Certain lesions if very large however may need neoadjuvant chemotherapy before removing.  The approach also depends on location, nature of the lesion and size

Depends.: All cancers are considered serious. However, the stage of the cancer is very important in determining the treatment and prognosis of a cancer. The more disease there is (the higher the stage) the more serious the cancer is and the more the need for aggressive therapy. In prostate cancer the grade of the disease (gleason score) also plays a role as it helps define the aggressiveness of the disease.

Usually malignant: Malignant tumors tend to spread all over the  body. Benign tumors tend to spread locally. If a benign tumor is in a bad place, then local spread can be very serious. You can't always ignore a tumor just because it is benign.

Not usually: Usually a thyroid goiter (enlargement) does not convert to malignancy or cancer.  If there is a nodule found by ultrasound imaging or by physical exam, depending on the characteristics it should be evaluated.  There is no 100% way of knowing what will turn in to cancer.

Yes: Hi. How are you holding up? The TIII/TIV classification has to do with invasion of the cancer outside the pancreas per se into other tissue (vessels, nerves, adjoining soft tissue), and distant sites. A 1 cm adenocarcinoma is capable of being stage TIII or stage TIV upon surgical excision, when the pathologist has all the relevant tissue to analyze. Hang in there. We're rooting you and the team.

Nomenclature: Confusing!  "benign cancer" is a contradiction in terms, but there are benign tumors (can grow huge but can't invade or spread), and there are cancers (like basal cell of the skin or many bladder cancers) that are slow and pose little short-term danger.  There are genetic disease with multiple benign & malignant tumors; otherwise, tumors occur depending on risk factors and dumb luck.
