Asymmetrical mole: While it. Is impossible to determine without an examination, asymmetry of any pigmented lesion should prompt an evaluation by a dermatologist.  He/she can help determine if a biopsy is needed.

Mole: Yes a mole could be malignant for a period of months to years. Have a suspicious area evaluated by a dermatologist.

Cutting will not : Cutting off part of a mole when you shave will not make it turn malignant. Part of the mole you keep cutting is likely in the middle layer of the skin. When you shave off the top of it, the cells that are deeper down remain and regenerate the mole. That is why it grows back. There's nothing to worry about, but you could see your dermatologist to have it removed, just to eliminate the nuisance.

Melanoma: The abcde system can help you remember possible symptoms of melanoma:
a symmetry: one half of the abnormal area is different from the other half.
B orders: the edges of the growth are irregular.
C olor: color changes from one area to another, with shades of tan, brown, or black, and sometimes white, red, or blue. A mixture of colors may appear within one sore.
D ark: the mole is darker

if an atypical mole is growing will it definitely be malignant?  or can it increase in size for a while before it becomes malignant?

Don't take a chance!: An atypical mole by definition means that it looks abnormal under the microscope and has features that may be worrisome. However, if the mole is growing and is atypical it should be completely excised as soon as possible! it is important that you discuss this with your dermatologist. Melanoma is a serious cancer and if not removed early can be lethal.

Pathology report: the specimen will be sent to a pathology lab for microscopic evaluation, to make sure no malignant cells are present.

Not likely: If a mle does not change at all in 6 months it is not likely to be malignant.  Take a photo with your phone and re-look at it in a few months to be sure.

Possible: It is possible.  No way to know about benign or malignant if it is gone.

Depends: If the mole was removed in its entirety, you need not worry about it turning malignant.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.
