No: Touching or handling oils should not affect efficacy of the medication. Continue taking pill as directed by your physician.

Pheromones: Most vagina's have a scent that may or may not be detectable to anyone other than an potential sexual partner. Pheromones are secreted by your body by mother nature for just that purpose. If the scent becomes an "odor" than have a obgyn md check for infection.

Yes: The orange has aromatic oils which can cause allergy - elderly are prone to citrus allergies.

Yes, it's a chemical: A person can be allergic to many chemical substances and a scent is from chemicals..Actually quite a few chemicals. If you read the label of such, there many chemicals in the febreeze and you can be allergic to that. Allergy is different than intolerance..Ie taking a med causes diarhea=intolerance, but causing hives, itching/trouble breathing/asthma attacks etc..=allergic raction.

Vasomotor: Some individuals are sensitive to scents and can have nasal reactions ranging from sneezing, runny nose to nasal congestion. Cinnamon can trigger such reactions, but you also may react similarly to other scents. Vasomotor rhinitis, which is the condition at hand, can be treated with nasal sprays. Talk to your doctor to prescribe one for you.

See a doctor: I highly recommend she be evaluated by a physician.  She needs a full evaluation to see the source of the odor.  There could be a mass that is ulcerating through the skin, a pressure sore that is becoming infected, just to name a few.

Pheromones: There are some scents that are definitely promoting sex in animals. There might be something similar with people as well.
