Some benefits: While there have been documented benefits of magnetic and electrical field stimuation, the exact mechanism of action, strength, potency, duration, and many other parameters have not been clearly established. Futhermore, while the benefits have been highly promoted, we are not clear about the adverse effects.

Doubtful: While i don't think it will hurt you, i don't think it will help.

Accepted Answer

If it works, yes: For many the alternative is a lifetime of taking acid reducers so if this stops acid and/or food from backing up from the stomach to the esophagus by recreating a pressure gradient, it sounds useful.

Referral: In the United States, most insurance plans and/or specialists will require a referral from a primary care physician.  I apologize, but am not clear if this is the same situation with the Canadian healthcare system, but strongly suspect that it is.

: Physical therapy does NOT cause any changes in height, and indeed could likely improve your posture.  It will help with pain and stiffness, and improve range of motion.  Instruction in stabilizing exercises will be added when appropriate.

i read that steroid therapy can cause bone and height loss. i got one prednisone injection for muscle soreness. could this cause height loss?

Wouldn't worry: At age 20 you are done growing taller. Therapeutic steroid use (daily high dose)  during childhood can make a kid unlikely to achieve their expected genetic height, but you are done &amp; simple occasional steroid use will not make you shrink.

i'm 17yr diagnosed with iliopsoas snapping in july 2013 and also got treated nsaids corticosteroid, therapy but pain is increasing any home remedies?

Iliopsoas release: Arthroscopy is the definitive way to fractionally lengthen a tight and snapping iliopsoas tendon via hip arthroscopy. Minimal morbidity and is outpatient surgery. Trial of rest, stretching, injections are important first lines of treatment, but when  symptomatic snapping persists, arthroscopic psoas release is a good option.

i've heard perhaps increasing choline levels as therapy in recovery and/or prevention of infection by novel coronavirus, but no specific approach was mentioned as helpful, diet modification, perhaps?

No: Unfortunately, by 19-20 years old, most peoples' bone growth plates have closed, and you are as tall as you are going to get. Should work to accept you for who (and how tall) you are and identify your gifts rather than focus on detractors.

Heightening...: Unfortunately, it is not possible to get taller unless surgeons cut the bone and lengthen it... Your stance can possible improve through therapy with flexibility and core strentghtening or if low back pain improves and it allows better posture. That makes people see you stand more upright, and -in fact- look taller....
