so i'm pretty regular and wanted to get a good cleanse so i took mag. citrate and it didn't work so i went and got another bottle and went 3 times.

Cleanse not healthy: Please have a diet with sufficient fiber. There is no healthy thing called a cleanse.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.

been constipated over 2 weeks. urgent care 3 times. tried mag citrate. er said enema would work. i've done 3. it didn't work. now what do i do???

Miralax helps by retaining water in your colon, whereas both dulcolax and senna act by stimulating your bowel to contract (which moves your feces along).  If you're having severe abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, you need to be evaluated again by a medical professional.

It depends!: If you are saying that mag citrate does not work for constipation, then you have a severe constipation ie need a doctor to evaluate and rule out the possibility of other causes including rarely cancer colon. But if you are saying it did not work for preventing kidney stones, then the causes are different! but if you are saying did not work to control hypomagnesemia then it is different discussion.

: If you have the urge but can't move your bowels,,work from below by inserting a dulcolax rectal suppository or fleets enema. If you have no urge repeat the mag citrate, but if you're experiencing abdominal pains,bloating,nausea or vomiting, go to the hospital emergency room for prompt evaluation &amp; care. No it does not try: If magnesium citrate does not work that does not mean you have blockage.If it is being used foe constipation you may need lifestyle changes like eating more fiber in your diet like20to35grms of fiber per day and increased fluids
if that does not work you may use other over the counter laxatives like stimulant laxatives and or stool softners.
