: Yes it is possible to feel lymph nodes in this area. The lymph node is a filter for bodily fluids that drain from the hand up into the central circulation. If there is an infection in the hand for example the filtering becomes more pronounced and the lymph node can enlarge.

See a doctor: Hmm.  Lymph nodes can swell when your immune system is fighting an infection. They are usually tender when that occurs.  A viral infection like "mono" can cause the lymph nodes in the back of your neck to swell.  Certain cancers can also cause lymph node swelling.  This would not show up on a cbc.  A doctor needs to feel your nodes and decide if further tests are needed!

for nearly one year i have been experiencing pain in both armpits, right elbow area and groin area. there is no swelling in my lymph nodes. just pain.

Musculoskeletal pain: There are no common conditions that cause pain in these areas. If you do not have fever, weight loss, bowel disturbance or breathing issues the problem is likely benign, not life threatening. Soreness in these areas may be due to muscle pain related to your job or activities. A trial of Tylenol or ibuprofen and a consult with a physician is reasonable.

Enough to go in: This is something you should go in and have evaluated. Lymph nodes activate when they are working and their swelling suggests extra work/problems. In most simple regional or systemic issues they would enlarge and later shrink back to resting size in a 608 week cycle. Resistance suggests a chronic illness that needs to be investigated.

can mono from ebv cause swelling of lymph nodes from head to the elbow and back of knees?

Unlikely: EBV causes lymph node swelling in the neck, usually the spleen and sometimes the liver, but in my 40 years of experience, I have not found lymph node swelling behind the knees or elbows.   Lymph node enlargement in the extremities is more likely to be related to a skin condition or infection.  Further evaluation is recommended if swelling doesn't resolve when other symptoms of mono resolve.

Yes: Since it is impossible to no if it serious or not from your symptoms , you should go see a doctor.
