Inflammation: I see this often in women/men who have chronic inflammatory conditions like fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, and autoimmune disorders that cause chronic pain. As chronic pain increases from these disorders, these areas seem to swell and become more tender to the touch.

Examine anus: The nodes you refer to are groin nodes involved with bad infection of perianal region or with early perianal skin malignancies.  One should have the anal canal examined and if questionable lesion found biopsy should be performed,,  If perianal area neg and nodes persist then nodes should be biopsied.

I never have: Round & nodular masses found on a babies bottom are more likely to represent an abscess or cysts of various origin. I follow these closely. If they appear inflamed or painful they may need surgical drainage. An ultrasound can define the structure more & give information that helps with diagnosis.

Several things: A number of possibilities ranging from a congenital cyst, scar tissue secondary to an some trauma, an infection/abcess, an internalized hemangioma are things that come to mind.What does the baby's doctor say? Cancers etc are almost unheard of there in a baby.

16 y/o. i've had a boil on my buttock for a few weeks, it is now hard, large and red. my lymph nodes have also swollen, i'm scared it could be mrsa.

Recurrence: Sounds like it is just a recurrence of the boil.  This does not mean it's MRSA necessarily.  However, you should return to your doc for either antibiotics or a drainage procedure as soon as possible.

Varies: There are multiple potential causes.  Swollen lymph nodes are usually associated with some type of inflammatory or infectious cause.  I would not hesitate to be seen and evaluated.

i had a lymph node removed 10 days ago. started to have fluid build up where lymph node was in groin as i went back to doctor. still big and sore and hard. started to feel pain spreading from groin to tight and side as well as buttocks. pls help?

Swelling: Common issues can be development of a seroma after a biopsy in the groin. However, could be abscess. If the swelling is worsening then I would recommend recheck. Ultrasound may help.
